Wow. Today's been so long I'm wondering if I'll be able to recall everything cool that happened today. Well, it's worth a shot to at least write some down, isn't it? : )
Classes went well today. In Numerical Analysis we got to hear about Dr. Ellison's family, which I actually thought was cool. (He was showing us something on Mathematica and he had a picture from last Thanksgiving as his desktop.) My old roommate Laura is in Programming with me, which is going to be awesome. I mean, I share almost every class with *somebody*, but I've never had a class with her. So yay. : )
After classes, everyone was dashing around getting ready for the org fair. I was about to say that this was after dinner, but I was still eating when we arrived at the IM room to set up tables. I forgot to bring the anime cases, so I had to run back and get them... that was fun. Yeah, I know it's weird to think dashing across campus is fun, but it's just the type of thing to put a grin on my face.
The org fair itself was amazing AND went really well to boot! We had quite a few people sign up at the Gospel Team table (at which we tended to sit/stand and sing along to the same songs over and over again - but they were fun songs!!). The OSG was extremely successful, racking up something like 19 freshmen names. I was pleased to see some familiar (freshman) names on the sheet; then again, I saw them head over to the table with purpose, so it's hardly a surprise. The table itself was really good this year, with gaming books, dice, anime cases, an anime poster, and of course DDR. It's been a while since I was able to play DDR (i.e. on feet rather than Stepmania), so it was really cool to play a song (and shadow a couple more).
After the Org Fair I went to Bell's with Laura and got myself some more d10's... I really like all the colors I have, and I doubt I'll need to borrow dice for any roll anytime soon! And all the dice fit into my lovely dice bag. ^-^
When we came back,
ladyarkham was already in our room and we invited
whirlwindmonk and
willard3 over to watch "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." Very fun musical, but also fun to poke fun at.
Laura picked up my sweatdrop motion! Ha! Haha! Er, yeah. It's fun to do. ^^;
Yay, wonderful day. I'm so glad to be back. ^-^
