Busyness and thoughts...
Thursday I had off, not much but regular things happened. Today I had work. It was a shorter shift, but that meant only one 15 minute break instead of the one 30 minute and two 15 minute breaks I get with an 8 hour shift. It was long, and quite tiring by the end, but I always manage to pull through (don't we all?). I have an 8 hour shift tomorrow, then Katie's pool party. I'll be late to it, but it'll be great to get together with my friends again, and if I swim I imagine it will be quite refreshing.
We had mini-church this evening, as well. I'm really starting to see the value in having a support system, a group of Christian friends that can pray for you - or just chat. I feel like, bit by bit, I'm taking steps closer and closer to being an independent adult. Not the kind one wishes to be as a teenager, but in the way that I'm feeling more and more prepared for it, more grown up, like I'll actually be able to manage all the pieces when I get there. It's an odd sensation...
