Short story: I decided to take a nap last night, which fucked most things up as royally as you please today.
Slightly longer story: Last night I was supposed to be working on my Motion Graphics research and digital thumbs, but I was so tired I needed a nap. Set my handphone alarm for 2 a.m. and went to bed.
I slept straight through the alarm and woke up 30 minutes before I was due to head off for college. If you've been reading this journal since last year, this should not surprise you, and it most certainly should not surprise me. Pissed me off, though.
Not quite the best way to start off a term, I'd say. My track-record with napping is Not Good, but I never seem to learn. I went off to classes flailing, shrieking and cursing like a banshee (inwardly), and somehow managed to pull everything together to show the lecturer something. Sorry Joanne, won't happen again(-人-;;;) I have come up with the brainsquall: like brainstorming, only at an incredibly hurried pace. I got off lightly, considering how she chewed out some other people who came less prepared. Expecting to spend the next couple of nights churning out some thumbs and thinking over the concept. Fans, fans and more fans...spinning round and round...
Went to lunch with 9 other peoplez today and ended up at the Ampang Yong Tau Foo near TOA. Lovely. I've never actually EATEN YTF, let alone at AYTF, so it was an experience. Wouldn't recommend their leong cha, though-bitter AND weak.
I got home to blog this, hoping to get some more work done, and found out I'd gone and left my mouse in the lab. The mouse as old as my laptop and faithful as all hell; the one I paintchat, Illustrate and Photoshop with. I hope it's still there in the morning. :/
*watches money fly out of her wallet and sighs deeply* First the printer cartridges are out, and now the mouse...to say nothing of my digicam's memory card and, someday, a new thumbdrive >_
