The government is truly WHIPPED.

Y'all will have to pardon the snark, but I haven't had breakfast at the time I'm writing this - THAT, and I come downstairs after a sleepless night to see, right smack dab on the front of the NST:

"We cannot allow (MPs to vote on motions according to conscience, rather than political lines). They must stick with convention and not support an ( Read more... )

Uh, MY-sama, the links are faulty... anonymous May 9 2006, 07:42:01 UTC
... everytime I click on them, they make me post a reply at your lj instead. No biggie though, I know exactly what you're talking about.

This smacks of the Sothinathan against the rest of BN too. Remeber the Crimean university fiasco? Yeah, that's right; so what if a whole bunch of minority students pursuing medical degrees there can't return to eke a living and more importantly, potentially serve the country? Yeah, let em re-sit some bloody qualifying test, let 'em waste their time and our tax-money.

So, the moral of the story is: Fuck your constituents, screw your conscience silly and tell your good judgement to go take a hike around ASEAN because what counts is your BLIND, UNWAVERING LOYALTY to your BLOODY PARTY.

That's the problem with our Opposition too. Why are they so pathethic and fragmented? Crap, I'm becoming as incoherent as Lim Keng Yaik....

Let's start campaigning ourselves. We could take over the Ministry of Education and ban rote learning and make anime and manga clubs compulsory. Damn, why am I going off tangent!? Lim-Keng-Yaik-itis strikes again... kdlhfskhfuwhfguishfhbweh.... *shakes head*

I intend to join Aliran on my 21st birthday. You should do the same too. We need more people with political will.

Your mutually pissed-off friend,
Yagami

(I can still syok sendiri and call you my firend, I hope?)

Woops. Fixing that.

>moral of story

Precisely! It's like the complete death of good judgement, and omg my poor conscience is going to lie unused in a corner? Heck, if more of us had that little voice wondering if it's really worth it to screw someone over, is it really going to help, then I daresay the world would be a better place.

(Of course we're still friends! Think what you? XD)
