Would anyone at all mind taking a look here and here, and help me user test my icons? The more the merrier, seriously. If you don't have an SA account, just drop a comment straight in here. (No peeking at everyone else's.) To recap from each submission, all you have to do is comment with what you think are the answers to the questions in the picture, and also these extras:
1. Do you like these icons?
A. Very much
B. Quite like them
C. So-so/Neutral
D. Quite dislike them
E. Not at all
2. What do you think can be done to make these icons look better or portray their message more effectively? (e.g. change of colour scheme, different elements, different shapes...)
