while I don't much believe in New Year resolutions for myself, I secretly made several resolutions when I moved to ABQ in september. one was to hang out more, another was to create more.
I purchased a fancy notebook with an appealing cover for recording inspirations. so far I have two pages filled with sketches, color scribbles or ink scribbles that will remind me of colors I was thinking of. decorating, utility, sewing.
Kaveh bought me a sewing machine for my birthday, it's the best gift I've ever received. I have not used it on a project yet, only scraps of fabric. it seems that it has been so long since I have done anything like this that I have to retrain myself to be inspired.

this house is so amazing and beautiful, and I have never felt more of a need to do great things for a home.
