I'm newer to the X-Files community, though, getting back into the show after IWTB. Consider myself a born again X-Phile, if you will.
Conan of course...♥ Tonight is the night! I can't wait for 11:35.
And wow, you almost went to the Louisville concert in '05? I had had major spinal surgery a month to the day before and there was no way I was going to miss it, especially since I ended up with a front row Fan Club seat, despite the 18" scar down the middle of my back. Pain, schmain; Rob was singing in my face! I could feel the sweat! And yes, when Anna was singing "My Favorite Mistake," (irony!) she sat down on one of those black thingies that face the stage for a bit and when she stood up, she stood on her skirt and gave the audience a view of her thong. Rob came out a bit later in the set and poked fun at her over it. I actually won a local radio contest and got to meet her in person a few hours before at the Hard Rock Cafe where she gave another performance. Oh, it was a wonderful day. :)
Plus, lastly, the fact we've titled our journals like they're theatrical performances is just too uncanny. Not friending you would be TRAGIC.
Well, your name wasn't linked to the community in my mind for no good reason, then! I stand corrected. And IWTB was the tipping point got me to sit down and properly get into the series, so I'm more of a baby than you, even. =P
As for Conan, I'm glad I'm not the only one to entertain fangirly notions. XD It's one of those things I let fester and seldom admit outright, because I'm likely to get an "eww, him?" and be subject to a battery of questions. But I was so there! And not disappointed.
And I totally did! I ended up not being allowed to go, though, despite living only a little over and hour away. When I read your report, I was sorry that I hadn't been there, but also glad to be able to live vicariously through you. I'm sure your experience more than made up for any discomfort.
Ha, so we have! I hadn't realized, but I agree - not friending would be tragic! So, off I go to reciprocate. =]
