I need a time turner!
SO I've finally been getting back into the costume swing of things, considering I have things hanging around here, fabric gathering dust, sewing machine gathering dust....etc. I pulled out my first draft of a corset and went to cut out one that will be the finished product....only to realize I have no suitable base fabric to use. (The plan is to make it out of something suitable (heavy cotton twill) and then cover it with something cool (Hello...black brocade with silver dragons? Hells yeah!). Ok...fine. No work on the corset today. Pull out the bodice pattern draft that Jen helped me with Thursday night. (I still applaud her for not poking me with pins, even though I'm sure there are times I might deserve it!). Realize I don't want to work on that. Jesus Christ, at this pace my Venetian gown will never be done! I'd love to have something new for Baron Wars, but I think I'll have to settle with one of my Goth Turkish outfits (still need a veil to go with my hat. Want a black veil!!!)
Baron Wars is in six weeks...I'd love to finish the Venetian, but its not going to happen..... it is nice to be sewing again though. I'll have to haul out the digital camera to take some pics of the process. There are just not enough hours in every day....
At least I managed to get a little work done on my 'little black dress'.
