I had half of Thursday and all of Friday off thanks to our yearly water main break. People complain about the sewer system and the water lines all the time. When someone comes up with a plan to fix it, though, people complain about how it will inconvenience them and downtown business will suffer. Just fix the shit and get it over with, people! We have something break or screw up to the point that we need a boil advisory at least once a year. Thanks to this latest one, I'm fucked even worse now. I just hope the people we have our car loan through don't try to come and take it. I hate putting them off another week, but it's either that or get evicted. I'm not paying the full rent, either. I've got about $100 in late rent fees I'm going to try to put off until the end of the month. I don't have a choice.
