As some of you may know, my life has been an endless merry go round of work and now school (woe is me)! My online play time has been shrunk to none. I occasionally find free time (10 minutes here, 30 minutes there when I'm not mentally or physically exhausted and can keep my eyes open before inevitably falling into the sleep of the dead); but even ( Read more... )

Heyo my darling :).

Just been having a nosey at Springkink and the issues with the no limits on prompt-taking policy, and I was wondering if we could have a natter about it at some point? Several very, very good suggestions were made, and some were quite practical, so I was wondering if maybe we could look at revising the policy?

The main ideas I thought were particularly good were;

1. Limiting to about 10-claims per-person per-24 hour period (this one could be a little bit fiddly, but it would reduce the number of complaints when someone takes 25 -> 35 prompts in one sitting)
2. Increasing the number of fic claims to 3 or 4 per prompt (don't want to expand it too much; variety's such an important thing! Although this doesn't necessarily solve the problem of people all grabbing the same prompt)
3. Limiting to 10-claims-per-person-per-fandom - seeing as the main issue with the people taking lots and lots of prompts was that in certain fandoms, mass-prompt-takers were swamping out other people.

Regardless, it could be worth looking at before the next round of springkink :), so that there's no bad feeling brewing!

And as well you know, I love helping out in the comm <3, and I'm willing to spend any spare time I have helping out, even if it isn't necessarily much spare time :). I like being a bit anal about organising things.
