Real Life Or Something Like It

No buckets of rain and pyrotechnic lightning today, just steady miserable drizzle, so in a mutual fit of cabin fever, Dad and I jumped in the Jeep and drove til we hit blue sky, and stopped in one of those towns where most of the main street is struggling Junqutique stores.

I bought a new arrowhead for my collection, and two comics! One, a Green Lantern from 1993 with the Flash (I think it's Professor Zoom really) Green Lantern 40: A Flash Of Evil. And a 1976 Disney/Uncle Scrooge comic, The Heedless Horseman. I blame Poisonivory.

Only spent three bucks and tax. (each comic and the arrowhead were a dollar each.)

I have to rip out the row I just started on the scrap afghan. Another skein, it says fourply and worsted, but it feels thinner than the four I've already crocheted up. Doesn't match.

My cold is mostly gone, save for lingering sinus stuffiness, which might be related to the humidity. I did take some Emergen-C the first day I felt cruddy, since I had a free sample. I don't know if it works or the placebo effect, or this was just a quick bug.

Coyote sighting four miles from the house, so being careful letting the dogs out after dark.

Heh, our neighbor remembered I used to make walking sticks and just brought over a cedar log. It's about four feet long and a couple of inches thick. I've still got some oak peeled and sanded out in the shed, if I get back into making them, I'd have to do something with those first.
