Army Update-Captain Moon
No, Captain Moon is not the name of a bad superhero...I have received my confirmation letter. I have been selected as an officer in the Army Medical Service Corps. I will likely be called up to enter in late September of this year with training beginning in January. At that point, I will swear in. My rank upon entry will be Captain. We will most likely be stationed in San Antonio, TX. Other possibilities for duty station which are less likely in order from most to least likely include
1) Walter Reed in Washington, DC
2) Bethesda, MD
3) Ft Eustis near Colonial Williamsburg
Any other duty stations are highly unlikely. I will be going to training from January 2009 to late March 2009, followed by being sent to my duty station. We should be settled on one of the four previous stations by the end of April 2009.
