Place Holder

Apr 06, 2005 10:44

Since I have now posted on three other people's journals I figured I should have something here for people to post to me. Only seems fair. However, since I have no wonderful words of wisdom to spout off I will just put this here as a place holder.

Cheers.

Encouraging peeps to read the MJ Rulebook.... harmonyjoy April 7 2005, 13:50:53 UTC
Hmmmm... Well I had a few thoughts about it. I had put them in, but then my post was too long. *gulp* Guess I'm more of a talker than I realized ( ... )

Woot! Glad you reposted here. I tried to reply to your other one but the thread seems to be missing.....anyway thanks for the thoughts!

Quiz: ha! There actually is one. Just requires MJ to use it. Haven't had that happen yet so for now it is an empty shell...I have been toying with requiring a certain level of passing to be allowed to register =)

Blurbs: Excelent idea! Perhaps in the header thing at the top of the site? We already have a questions section, an FAQ and a Rulebook, people don;t read those so need something easy and obvious.

Class specific: similar to above...not sure if a seperate section would help or not but maybe?

Most of the actual effort is not terribly hard. It is more a matter of someone putting stuff in. Perhaps what I will do is

Croasis is now a friends only LJ. That's probably why you couldn't get to the comments again.

There are quizzes??? Really? Not sure what "requires MJ to use it" mans. an MJ log in? I suppose if I logged into the site and perused a bit, I might find it. I do like the idea of needing a certain score/level of passing to be able to register though. I don't see why it would be any different than requiring someone to sign a waver, and requiring you be of certain age. This is for the integrity (sp?) of the game. I, for one, wouldn't be opposed to it. :)

Blurbs! :) Thanks. Up at the top is an excellent place to put it, that was where it was in my mind when I thought of it, anyway. And being class specific and/or just a rule here and there might be the same thing.

Seems as though you've ended mid-sentence, unless I'm reading wrong. *laughs* Glad to know I could throw some thoughts out there.

did i wake up to your birthday party the other night?

i stumbled back out into Ops at 1 am, rubbing my eyes, and asked one of the guys "Um, am I crazy, or were people just singing 'Happy Birthday"?

he looked at me, fairly straightfaced, and said "What? No. No one was singing."
