Winterfeast decision.....

Jan 12, 2006 11:09

So, it is getting close to the time to decide about the feast. I have to admit that I have been 100% against going. However, recently I have been sooooo excited about MJ that I think it might be worth going even though I really have no interest. Just to be there to support MJ might be worth it. I dunno. No offence M but I HATE foxwoods. I ( Read more... )

Please come! melamitra January 12 2006, 16:19:34 UTC
I'm going, I don't gamble.
Dunno if you want to hang out with me all night, but, want to see people! And you're one of the people I want to see.

I've never gone to one of these things, never been very excited about it...worried that no one I want to see will be there. :-p So, come!

I am not going. Matt is still on the fence, but he doesn't sound very excited about it. I think he'd be just as happy about playing poker with the guys at someone's house.

It's going to cost us about $100 each, all told, and it's not worth it to me.

(no offense to Monique, who has been working her butt off on this)

cost is indeed a big issue for me. We will be moving right around the that time and spending the cash on this....it is a lot of money cause it is at a casino. It is going to be MUCH more than the $80 for tickets.

Absolutely.... there's money to do whatever, after the feast ends, then the room cost, and breakfast the next day, and gas & tolls.....

Moving? Huh? You just moved! Now what? Email me!

I totally understand all your objections, etc., even agree with them.

Gonna miss you guys as I'm miserable partying by myself... :-)

I didn't goto another server. I have not been on at all. The extent of my wow time in the last 2 or 3 months has been AH stuff almost exclusively :( As for promoting you guys...I have to figure out which toon has the rights :)

Poker? was that for me too? I am assuming you mean the normal tues night gig? I don't goto that. Regardless I am not sure what they all are doing...

As for the $40...yeah that is not too bad. Driving home afterwards though sounds like a bad idea. So we need to slap room onto that figure. And with a move and 2 week vacation within 3 weeks of the feast....money is tight. Bet that is the first time any of you have heard me say that before :)

Oh, I thought you were part of the regular gambling crowd. I would think that you'd have much more fun at the Feast if all the other cool kids were coming too. ;)

I'd offer my couch, but if you'd drive all the way back to my house you might as well just drive home. I just called the least expensive hotel I could think of and they're more than the rate we have at Two Trees. Sorry. :(

Sounds to me like you'd better start peddling your... wares.

I'll start the bidding with $5. Hehe.

I'm going...already booked for both nights a tTwoTrees and paid for the Feast. I don't gamble, and I also have asthma. While I prefer Mohegan a little, I'll hit the arcade, the pool and gym and hot tub. Probably gonna check out the movies there...Monique, they're not on the website, but do they still have the IMax and the VR theaters? Those used to be fun. I like walking around, people watching, hanging with friends, maybe host or attend a room party or two...I think I'll keep busy. I wish it were less smoky, for sure, but I enjoyed last year and I'll enjoy this year.

The VR theaters were converted into the Treehouse and the IMAX doesn't always do movies (because when the screen is up it's the Fox Theater). There's still the Dance Club and OMFG! This just announced. Like. Just. This. Second. The Fugees in the Fox Theater at 9PM. Phew - $82.50/$110.00 ain't cheap for tickets - but wow. That's going to be a great show. Too bad it's right in the middle of the Feast.
