I heard something on NPR today...some professor was stating, and I don't remember the story, that in this electronic age it will be difficult to put history down as we once did. We only know as much as we do about people such as Ben Franklin because writing was one of two ways people corresponded (and orally defeats the purpose of what I'm saying
