I never have sweaty palms, but last night I sure did.

FAS Christmas party. I was abnormally nervous.

Until I met Gary from HR, who proceeded to give me a hard time that I was "trying to get hired by kissing the HR guy's ass over a smoke". I was mortified, even though I knew he was kidding.

Then Chris reminded me that Gary is the "I gotta go move a sign" Gary.

I proceeded to laugh till I cried. Gary walked over and said he had to defend himself, to which Chris replied, "You have Adam to blame for this-Kate knows all about your signs."

I almost fell on the floor. And all Gary said was,

"Oh shit."

I told him he was a genius and it was the best excuse I'd ever heard.

Later that night, Gary told me to send him my resume.

Thanks for giving me some leverage, guys.

And of course Dale, who was very gracious to me, but I really had to look right at him when we talked, because I just *knew* I would see someone behind him mouthing the word "task", and then I would really embarass myself.

I feel very weird about school being over. And this time it's over for real and not just for the semester; I've slept in every day and have to keep reminding myself that "nothing is due, you didn't miss class, you're *done*." I won't complain though, I now have all the time in the world, and it's amazing. I plan to do silly things in celebration of my spare time such as: join this knitting circle ginny found called "Stitch 'n' Bitch" (how rad is that I ask you-though we can't knit, so it may be just a pipedream for me and the Bro), doing gay things like sitting in the park and reading a book, volunteer for the theatre and also keep volunteering for The Film Festival (for another totally free pass next year, I'll stay on heck yes) and I wanna refinish my furniture again.

So call me lame, but I'm excited to finally get out of this shithole of a town and see some new scenery.
