I caught the train down to Austinmer with the very patient
tangofiction to see Jigzag today.
My goodness, it was well worth the trip. The gig was free (YAY!) and the bowling club it was at was lovely and had great food at a reasonable price.
We were fortunate enough to get an awesome table right in front of the band, I was asked to babysit Sebastian while they set up which was a real honour! I was cheeky enough to make lots of requests (which they played) and we also got to hear stuff from the new album. I've preordered two copies and I can't wait to get them!
Liz got her father, cousin and his daughter to share a table with us (because apparently we're very friendly people!) and later
tangofiction's parents showed up too which was a nice surprise.
It really was an awesome concert although Liz has bronchitis and it's worrying that she's singing with it. I gave Liz and Greg a hug at the end (Caroline had vanished as usual) and got Liz's number so we can catch up next time I'm in Melbourne.
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday!
