Life goes by so quick. So much to do, not enough time to do it, but for the most part I'm happy.... which is a nice and welcome change.
First off, I have nothing against those at my previous job, I love them all dearly, but the environment was just not right for me. God so many days I came home from work, angry, sad, depressed or a multitude of so many other things, that I'm surprised I survived the summer even partially sane. The job bogged me down, the people there made it worth going to work. I'm glad to hear that Connie is recovering, slowly but surely. She gave us quite the scare at the end of August, and I was terrified that we would lose her. I heard from her the other day and she sounded in good spirits, though slightly crestfallen to hear that I wouldn't be coming home for Christmas. Which brings me to my next subject.
I was promoted to Assistant Manager at the North Bay Softmoc! *squees* Because of this I had to resign from my seasonal job at Green Earth because the hours were too much. I loved it over there, but I was too tired, and getting sick easily, and just being run down. The manager would hire me back in a heartbeat, and was very understanding of the situation. So I'm up to working 6 days a week at Softmoc, and because it's coming up to Christmas things are getting crazy busy.
Winter Formal is on Saturday, the last formal the three of us will do, seeing as Court and Tini are done at the end of this school year. *sniffs* It will be fun, but slightly bittersweet. We finally got a masquerade theme, so I'm wearing my black velvet dress, Converse shoes, and blue feathered mask. It will be tres cool, and I will post when I get pics.
Other than that things are pretty good. Having a few house issues, but nothing of the severity from the last couple years. Just a couple of guys talking trash. *shakes head*
My coworker Danielle got me completely addicted to N.C.I.S and I've been avidly catching up on episodes. I am such a fangirl. *shakes head*
I'm still trying to reconcile the fact that I'm not going to get to go home for Christmas. And though I know everyone will understand, the thought makes me feel very sad and lonely. Court and her folks have offered for me to spend Christmas Day with them, which is sweet beyond belief. I have to check into busing and scheduling etc etc. But *crosses fingers*
Well, I have to open the store tomorrow, so I gotta get some sleep.
*hugs to everyone, whether near or far.*
