So remember a few entries ago I ranted about Shadsie deleting my comments at fanficrants. Well finally she wised up and knocked it off, but not before running to ffrantsrants to rant about how I'm "harassing" her on fanficrants. (Seriously, I fought with her maybe one other time apart from this.) Apparently this justifies a mod bitching at me for disagreeing in a civil manner with one of hir posts.
Yes, okay, s/he then apologised, if you call this an apology:
"I was already expecting a comment contrary for the sake of being contrary and felt rather bitchy about it on principle."
You'd swear I did nothing but sit on that comm waiting to disagree with people to stir up trouble. I barely read the fucking thing.
And I can't help being annoyed when the mod then misrepresents the situation to other people:
"I think my hand's still twitchy in the smacking sense after another mod linked me to a bitchfit between the commenter and someone else with the commenter taking a high and mighty attitude that it was her right to be rude to other person"
Now, as you all know, I'm not afraid to own my assholishness. I most certainly could've walked away when Shadsie deleted my first comment. But my reaction to this is OH EAT A DICK.
I checked the rules in fanficrants. Nowhere does it say anyone has to play nice. Nowhere does it say you can't be snarky. Nowhere does it say you must kiss mod ass.
I remind you all of the initial comment I made, the one that was too much for Shadsie's fragile little ego:
"Wow, it took you this long to figure out people like crap? Was popular culture not a clue?"
God damn I feel like smacking someone around.
Update: Just out of interest, I checked the fanficrants archive from May of this year onwards. In that time Shadsie's made thirteen posts to the comm. I commented directly to the OP on three of them - once in July, once in August, and once a few days ago. I commented to another commenter on one of them. So this "Cyberwulf is harassing meeee!!!" bullshit is all in her fucked-up head.
When the hell is GAFF coming back up? I can't wait to discuss fanfiction with people who don't need to be constantly coddled and eaten out in case their precious self-esteem gets destroyed.
