Dr. Horrible
This'll probably get me expelled or disbarred or something, but I watched Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog and I wasn't impressed.
All the bullshit that went down with Buffy the Vampire Slayer has probably poisoned me against Whedon's stuff forever, but the whole thing seemed very trite and somewhat familiar. The girl, Penny, is saintly and good and little more than a thing for Dr. Horrible and Captain Hammer to fight over. And Captain Hammer, the so-called "good guy", turns out to be a prick while Dr. Horrible truly cares for her - or at least the image of her he's got in his mind based on seeing her at the laundromat and having a few conversations with her over ice-cream - even though he's an evil villain. And what's with Joss's hard-on for the name "William" and its diminuitives?
So sick and tired of these "tortured soul" villains.
Bad Horse being an actual horse was cool though.
