Marty Whelan is wringing his hands about OMG WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT WE DIDN'T QUALIFY - well Marty what the fuck did you expect?! We put a fucking puppet screeching out of tune up against professional performers with proper songs. All those songs deserved to qualify (except possibly Bosnia-Herzegovina. I mean what the fuck, people) because they were actually good songs. Now I'll have to listen to them all ringing up Gerry Ryan tomorrow whining about how it's all rigged and one excuse after another. And no-one will suggest that maybe - just maybe - we shouldn't send a flipping novelty act to an international song contest if we actually want to win.
