Updates galore
It's been a bit of time since my last post so I guess I should give an update.
So over a month has passed since I put in my 2wks at Dominion. The last day was pretty smooth..heck it was down right laid back. The lunch was nice. As far as I know there hasn't been much in the way of others jumping ship since me. I guess that is ok. I wish the best of luck to those coworkers and enlightenment to the management.
Wasabi Systems is who I work for now. They do hard drive storage. And yes that is a little weird for me seeing as I make web pages. But that is ok, I have a niche there. They got me the CS3 Web Premium package for the Mac. Yes I work on a Mac. It has taken some getting used to, but I'm becoming a fan. This is the last you will hear me admit that. But I can't really talk more about what I do at my job, just that it has some cool stuff to it.
Cam. Well it has been over a month since I played my character so that I could take care of some issues and concerns in the ST field. In addition, I'm running two elections for both VST positions and setting up to vote for the RST election. Busy. Oh yeah and the ICC website. Which by the way is finally getting some recognition out there.

Yeah that makes me feel better to see things moving now. I was pretty frustrated with the ICC staff for quite a while. Seeing people use the site now makes me feel a little better...even if the staff still doesn't get me a lot of the stuff that is due...or makes changes to the VSS after they say it is done.
Home. I'm home posting this today because my parent said that I didn't have to go help them move up to Waynesboro. Kind of a relief. I don't have Jewish parents so I don't expect any true emotionally crippling guilt to come my way. But the video player that only handles the iPod came in. It works great, the Bean is enjoying it over the big TV...I may actually get my TV back...
I got myself a notebook with a cool design on it so that I could do some notes on steampunk designs. I ended up with a bit of inspiration and came up with about 3 designs for boxes. More fancy design than steampunk, but cool designs. Maybe someday I will have a workshop to realize these designs. I get to draw again so that makes me happy.
So that is it right now. No earth shattering kabooms or the sort. Oh wait, yes there is. We got a new car. 2007 Sebring. I like it. But it is Marji's car. She had to drive the old van for so long she gets the nice car. It has a working stereo...and CD player...and a trunk...and well you get the idea. It is better, much better, than we had. And with the new job, I can pay for it.
