so........today was an awesome christmas. i got fucking fantastic gifts. suggie, nikki and jane pooled together to get me a digital camera. it totally rules. i was so excited about it that i've already killed the battery. i have to go this paycheck and get the charger thing and a rechargable battery for it and memory cards galore so i can take a zillion pictures of everything i see. i'm so fucking excited.
mc got me the hip hop box. four cd's of some of the greatest hip hop ever recorded. i listened to it all the way home just now. there are jams on there that i had totally forgotten about(black sheep, what the fuck?!!?!?). and now having finally heard "roxanne, roxanne" by UTFO i have to take my hat off to roxanne shante for making an answer record that trumped the original in every way possible. and i was listening to "passing me by" and it made me miss kelly and jay so so so so much. and it made me sad, too. cuz jay is a total genius and i can't believe he threw it all away so quickly. but i guess that's what happens when you're young and money comes to you all at once like that. but it fucking kills me that the man who wrote this totally amazing song used to sit on our couch smoking weed, played a show at our apartment and had the loudest quiet sex ever with my room mate all the time. *sigh* but anyway, the box set is fucking great. there's some shit on there that i can't believe is on there and there's some stuff i can't believe wasn't included but overall it makes me very very happy. me and pepper's present to me(a little dancing figurine wearing a bear costume) are gonna have some good times to that shit.
