But doesn't know the price that I pay.
This past weekend was definitely an adventure. So I know that some people think, oh you are living abroad that is so cool you are so lucky. Well sometimes I am lucky and sometimes I am not. I think I have more mis-adventures than adventures, but the adventures are so good that I don't mind the missed ones.
I went to the beautiful city of Norwich this weekend. What a treat! The Cathedral is amazing and so was the castle. I walked along the river, ate some yummy food, and even did a bit of Karaoke. The best part was seeing my friend Andrew! I had a great time. Its been about a year since I saw him last and it was so unreal to see him on his own turf. Its really, really weird because some of the people I met in Japan I may never see again, but not true for most of my friends. His parents were really cool and so were his brothers. I had a great chilled out weekend and I didn't have to share Andrew too much. I definitely got to talk to him about life, love, and general good times. I can't wait to take him out in Reading, not that Reading has a great night life, but it will be fun to show him around where I live.
I start my new Japanese lessons on Wednesday night. I had to work too hard to learn it in Japan to give it up now. Taihen desu ne! Demo, daijobu! I hope my teacher is cool, and I hope I get to meet some Japanese people in the area. It will be nice to have a language exchange partner. I am paying £15 a lesson which isn't to bad, about the same as in Japan. Gambattemasu! I am also really excited because.......I am going to see The Witches of Eastwick this weekend in the Westend with my room mate! It will be fun and I can't wait to see the show. I can get all dressed up and wear all those clothes that we save for special occasions.
So for today, I am happy, healthy, and ready to experience all that I can. Sure I have drama, but I don't want to focus on it now ;-D Life is too short not to kick ass and take names!
