I wouldn't call it an ability, it's just something I can do

Today was rather lovely, looking back on it. I had lunch with Jen, Phil, and Erick. We got Bagel and Deli and ate them in the Great Room. It was so lovely to sit and chat with them, especially since I haven't seen much of them at all this semester. We'll have to work out a day each week next semester to all go out to lunch and just hang out for a bit.
After Pharm today I had to waste a bit of time until 5 so I followed my friend down to the copier and waited for her to copy her notes for a kid in our class who wasn't here on Monday. As she was copying, I did what I could to make polite conversation with the kid. I had seen him around before (mostly from Pharm class) but didn't know too much about him (expect when we were taking some survey in class that included the question 'at what age did you lose your virginity' I saw that he put down '17' but that isn't really a good conversation starter and I avoided the subject). Anyway we start chatting as Jessie copies the notes, some by hand, some by copier.
I-Have-No-Idea-What-This-Kid's-Name-Was- blah blah blah Las Vegas...
Me- Oh you were in Las Vegas? That's a nice vacation.
Kid- Um, it wasn't really a vacation. But I did get to spend some money in the casino.
Me- Oh. So what were you there for then?
Kid- *awkward pause* I'm actually under contract not to say.
Me- .... Oh...... So it was for a job interview then?
Kid- Err, yeah. Basically it was for a tv show and I can't say anything about it before the next season comes out. Not a reality tv show like The Real Life, or something stupid like that though...
Me- Hey, neat! Is it a new show?
Kid- No, it's already out, but I can't say which one.
Me- I understand.
Kid- Yeah, I had all these tests I had to do, make sure I was physcially fit, that I didn't have any heart problems, not on any drugs. I didn't have to do an MRI for this one. I've had to do that before.
Me- Wow, an MRI!? That's so extreme. This must be a very physically demanding show.
Kid- Yeah, it pretty much is.
Me- So, it's like Gladiators....?
Kid- Yeah, sorta. You ever hear about ____?
Me- No, no idea what that is.
Kid- Oh, I did that show before. blah blah blah fight in cages blah blah....
Me- O_O What?!
Jessie- you fight in cages!
Kid- yeah, it's how i pay my tuition.
Me and Jessie- O_O That is so cool!
Kid- it's not that great. it's just something i'm good at. It kind of sucks. I have to work out 40 hours a week.
Jessie- I sleep 40 hours a week!
Me- damn, that's so much better than my job. I just sort information about faculty at Miami and have stupid amount of information about Miami that no one wants to know at my finger tips.
Kid- oh, that's cool.
Me-  NO, THAT IS NOT COOL. BEING A PROFESSIONAL CAGE FIGHTER IS COOL. YOU DO NOT GET TO BE HUMBLE ABOUT BEING A CAGE FIGHTER.
Kid- *shrug*
Me and Jessie- O_O

Best student part time job ever!

And this kid was pre-med! He's smart too. WTF?!
