had the best day today.went to opa-locka airport
and met with miami-dade county police aviation division.
greeted some really great guys then they let me go up in a
helicopter. it was amazing -i honestly didnt think i would be
doing that today especially since yesterday i went to the motor
division yesterday and was told they couldnt let me on a bike. but
we flew over the everglades and looked all around for cars and boats
underwater or people dumping things criminally while listening on the radio
if there was a robbery suspect or car chase we could help out doing the parameter.
we would be able to tell those on the ground where a suspect was. it is quite a team
effort this police thing. i felt a little sick which i should of expected because i hate
flying and riding on a boat-that whole motion sickness thing i guess. i got a bit sweaty and queazy
but i enjoyed being up there so much i didnt want to say anything. i think the pilot noticed i got quiet so we landed at tamiami airport for a short break so i could splash some water on my face. i guess i was greenish. but we took the scenic route back and passed over coral gables and south beach god it was beautiful. the water is gorgeous on south beach. from there it was easy to see what all the fuss is about. the pilot also pointed out don shula, sylvester stalone, and madonnas old house. and a condo oprah owns. it was so great up there, i feel so lucky to of had this experience. we went back to the airport and they bought me pollo tropical and let me go early. could this day get any better?
