And God, that song is indeed gorgeous. Yeah, I like having songs ironically fic to my posts, if I can - like if it's about some crazy H/Hr shipper I play Smashing Pumpkins. ;D And - *drools* at the music video! Bowie is so unbelievably sexy. That and Ziggy Stardust (the live concert version) are my favourite songs of his... oh, and Heroes! :D

Jeez, I'm a Smashing Pumpkins fanatic too! I've even met Billy Corgan :) I can't say which is my favorite Bowie song, though.. too many great ones to choose from.

It was quite some time ago, when JKR went on her first American booksigning tour around 1999. The first place she came to on the tour was my hometown, so I was lucky as lucky can get. At the booksigning, I wore a sign around my neck that said "#1 Harry Potter Fan" (which, at the time, may have been true). Naturally, she saw it. She asked me, "Is that true?" and I nodded. She put out her hand to mine, saying, "I haven't met you before!" and gave my hand a nice, good shake.

Needless to say, I haven't washed my hand since.

Aw, that's so lovely... and before the huge fame, too. Though I expect she's still humble - she always seems that way, on interviews, at least.
