Salad

As for my humble self, if you are just earnest to do all but read my meandering views of how we end up in a bowl of salad, go on....try me....taste it..... all but encounters and experiences that I have been through, journey walked and still lifting my tired head up each day to command the strength within me or the higher powers to grant me the physique to lift each limb up to yet take the step forward, any often backwards.  The admirable and the detestable, the joyous and the condemned, the laughters and the tears, the friends and the foes, the unyielding and the irresolute, the blacks and the whites, the favoured and the inopportune. Everything and anything!

You infuse them all together in a large bowl, include some dressings, and, there it is, a bowl of salad - Life.  Not in favour of brussel sprouts, olives or asparagus?  Behold, refrain from eating them!!!  In conflict with cucumbers? Oh well, cucumbers are splendid for you. Do I
need to go on and sprout out all the different nutrients that they produce for you?  But to consume or not to, it is solely your choice and no one else’s.

You would like some balsamic vinegar to go along with your salad?  There you go, ma'am, douse yourself in it.

Life.

I have never at a point mentioned or give an impression that it will always be that medium rare steak or juicy lobster that you salivate after.  I have not agreed that it was always easy and pleasing.  What I would like to communicate is that in one's life, there are  the marvellous and the stupendous ingredients that you love, just akin the croutons, smoked duck and bacon bits. And, the not too appetizing ones like the cucumbers and tomatoes.  Aggregate them all together, it will be a "nice" bowl of meal, lovely to consume.  Just that we, at times disregard to peek at the price tag hidden on the underside.

The marvellous, enjoy, douse yourself all over it while they last!  The detestable, one can either enforce them down your throat, or chuck them to a side of the plate and isolate them.  But, if one keeps staring at that little piece of tomatoes and keeps pondering about it and agonizing over it, it is not going to miraculously turn into a sweet piece of onion.  Its not going to make things any different, and while you are busy going all out fretting over your silly tomatoes, you might just be missing out on the delicious stuff that you adore in the beginning of age.

The salad bowl is Life in itself and we did not have the preference of what we wanted; what we ordered in the first place.

The menu was not shown.

That, perhaps, is the morose part of it all.
