Unfuck Your Habitat: Shoes
I have been really appreciating Cat Valente's Journal recently, and through her found the fantastic Unfuck Your Habitat. It's the kind of kick in the pants I need right now.
Thus inspired, I did something: I sorted my shoes! I got rid of many of them! 11 whole pairs many! Go me!
My triumph, in pictures
Before: 25 pairs
Rain boots, Hiking boots, Keens, 5 pairs of tall black boots (2 docs, 2 office-friendly, 1 pirate-themed)
10 pairs girly fashion shoes, 2 of which are work appropriate (1 pair not in this picture)
5 pairs sensible office shoes
Sneakers for workouts and sneakers for casual wear
After: 14 pairs
Rain boots, hiking boots, knee-high docs, keens, workout and casual sneakers
3 pair girly fashion shoes (1 is office-appropriate, 1 is the shoes I got married in, 1 is covered in sequins)
4 pairs sensible office shoes, 1 pair office-friendly boots
And they all fit away nicely in the closet:
