Rib update: ow

Skated more aggressively last night than I had been doing. Did some form exercises, pushed myself a little on endurance, and helped a friend try out whips. Today I hurt in the ribs.

I'm not a medical professional, but it's my general understanding it's bad to do things that hurt the part you want to heal. Discomfort meant I didn't sleep well last night, and that's something I really have to avoid. I know there are exceptions to that, and I'm going to look into what my insurance covers for physical therapy, maybe at least try to get a professional opinion. I'm also going to fill out a leave of absence form for derby for the next two weeks and actually stay off it.

I'll still go to tryouts, and I'll still do open skates, I'm just not going to to try to sustain good derby form or do any heavy core/upper body workouts. I'm going to have to find other ways to keep my endurance up, and I don't know what you do for core strength if upper core exercises are the problem - rebuild in two weeks I guess.
