Kermit Achieved

Took my green star asessment tonight.

It was just me and one other girl. I wasn't sure how I did on the endurance test, two minutes seemed fast and yet interminable. I did well on the blocking, but I was very, very tired at the end. Then we scrimmaged for 20 minutes with a motley assortment of people. Went five jams in a row, including one as Jammer. Scored 19 points. Turns out I didn't have to do five in a row, just five total. I felt good, I hit a lot. I took control of the pack a couple times, which surprised me, but felt pretty natural.

That was the assessment, then I scrimmaged for a full game with Speed Regime. That also went pretty well, though I spent more time than I'd like on the floor.

After that scrimmage (and declining many 'offers' to play in the second scrimmage) I took my pads off and walked over to say thanks to Regime. Bambi and Jenna wished me luck on my assessment, and Holly (the head coach, and regime member) scoffed and said 'oh, you passed.' Which is cool, because she gets to decide. Everyone was all 'wha?' and she was like 'Well, I have to score the rules test, but...' And then there were hugs and congratulations.

So. I passed!

Barring accident, I will be playing in the Bout July 18th.

I should find out my team (your dress code for the bout) by next Wednesday.

Green Star! Yay!
