Also, I bet the massed internets are squeeing over nearly-canon slash? I'm squeeing over nearly-canon asexuality, which, let's face it, is far less common. Also over their take on Watson, which is twisted but brilliant, and their riffs off the original story.
I'm unsqueeing about the marginalisation and general treatment of the female characters, and about the painfully obvious plot twist. Moffat, I know you can do better than that! Also, I personally loathe the obnoxious genius trope, which doesn't bode well for the rest of the series. Which I will be watching, so that I can diapprove in detail.
