Man, do I love football! I am a lifelong fan of the Saints and I am thrilled with the season so far. I also root for the Colts since they are the "local" team. And my son is having a great season so far, too. ^_^ The weather has turned deliciously cool here and I am looking forward to seeing him knock someone out of their socks this Thursday. Woohoo!
And, even after a disastrous managerial decision which resulted in a loss to my opponent this week, I am still sitting in 1st place in my fantasy football league. (I debated substituting Willis McGahee for Frank Gore--a gut impulse--but didn't do it. *sigh*) However, the bye week is gonna kill me this week. My DEF, K, and QB are all out. Not that any of them are outstanding to begin with, but I need to drop them and pick up new ones. Well, I won't drop Kurt Warner, but my backup is Cassel, so HE'S outta there! So, I thought I'd solicit some opinions from any of you who are interested in this stuff.
Everyone is in waivers until tomorrow in our league. The top 4 available QBs are Kolb, Campbell, Sanchez, and Favre. I'm planning to pick up Sanchez, but am open to hearing arguments for the others. (Except for Kolb, who is on bye this week and may not get to start after that.) The top 4 available Kickers are Tynes, Prater, Carney, and Nedney. My plan is to pick up Carney. Any suggestions/comments? And the top 4 available DEFs are Denver, NO, NYJ, and SF. Shooting for Denver. Good, bad, or ugly? And, btw, what the heck do I do with Braylon Edwards?
