Here’s a little poem I wrote for a laugh in my commonplace book, I have no idea where the initial thought came from and even I was surprised by the way it turned out. It’s not really related to anything we were doing but I liked it.
Have you ever had to make a choice?
But you can’t decide and have no voice
Is it left or right, or up and down?
When your options all around you surround.
The darkness continues to close in;
It suffocates and destroys from within.
You can’t escape; fear becomes stronger
The choice must be made; don’t wait any longer.
Hurry now, an answer’s forming,
Before the coming light of morning,
His toughest choice must now be made
Will he have coke or lemonade?
