Still here
I am still here. I know you all worry about me, and you should really quit with the constant phone calls, the thousands of e-mails, and just showing up at my house at weird hours. It is like everyone on my FL is stalking me. Seriously though....I know I haven't been online much lately, and I haven't posted in over a month, but I do try to read ever post ever few days. I have to e-mail my ATM run sheets every other day, so I do try and keep up with everyone. I do try and keep up, but if I have missed and even or heaven forbid a birthday, I am sorry.
I am working, and it really isn't as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. I love the security work. Very flexible hours, and I am out and about all the time. I am however looking for something part-time. Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot....something to make up 20-30 hours a week, during the say like 0700-1500. Most of the work I do is at night, and tons on the weekend. I have cut back on my expenses. I had to.....I basically cut my pay in half. Impossible to find a roommate where we live, and since hooking is obviously out of the question, we are trimming the budget. Really hasn't been that bad. Don't watch that much T.V. so getting rid of the pay channels on the satellite was easy. Wasn't my idea to get them in the first place, and now that the Sopranos is off air, I am cool.
The work is very different from day to day. The past week or so, I have done a good bit of unarmed retail work at Marshalls. I really don't care much for the unarmed stuff, and retail makes it worse. The armed details obviously make more money. That is primarily all my company does. There is so much of the retail work in metro area, we thought we would give it a good swing. We have done a few short term gigs for TJ Maxx, and The Gap, and a few other stores. Thursday before last I went on a diamond escort from Atlanta to Savannah, and then on to our final destination of Augusta. That was very cool. I made really good money to sit in a car and either ride, or drive. Would love to work more of those. The Jewish temple protection has slowed down to almost nothing. The boss said things always slow down for them for the summer, until high holy days, and then we live there for a week.
