Boopity, boopity, boo.
I dunno, I think some fantastically superpowered thingy somewhere is trying to make me leave school or somethin.
So, this summer, I find out that 4 faculty members (and this is just from MY program, not even the whole chem faculty!) have retired, and that they're not being replaced. I also learn that the guy who basically runs my degree program is pulling a lot of his courses to re-write them, since it is the majority of people who want to take this degree are starting this year. Which does ME who started TWO YEARS AGO! not any good at all. So 6 out of 8 of the courses I planned on registering for that are specific to my honours are not offered this year. supergrrr....
Therefore, I got pissed, and switched into CS. And they at least were really nice about it. However, the fact that I'm a 3rd year student with like... half my first year CS courses is making things a little tight for me. I have five courses both terms that have really long honking hard weekly assignments in them.
And to make things worse, my first week of class, Alex's teacher calls me up to say he's on his way to the emerg and can I meet him there? Apparently he's developed spontaneous athsma and they kept him till the weekend for observation, and, not being the type of mommy who can willingly leave the 8-year-old in the hospital by himself, I made it to 1 whole calss my whole first week. Not a good start!
So, um, this means things can only get better... right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!
