Sigh
January Summary
Need to get my car fixed since some dickless son of a bitch backed into me in the parking lot of my building and ran off. My laptop stopped booting properly 2 days after I bought a good wireless router. Definitely a hardware issue. My TV got shorted out from static as I was turning it off. Weirdness...now to turn it on I have to unplug it and plug it back in. It boots to the auxiliary channel instead of channel 3. The buttons on the set do nothing now. If I try to change teh channel or adjust volume or do anything with the remote, it turns back off. w00t! I did discover that the volume adjustment shuts off the tv, but does work. Sicne I have the car thing and am trying to get out of debt, I bought a component cable rather than a new tv. So I can watch most cable channels ok, but some are still much louder or much quieter than average. Ghetto powa!
Work still sucks, but shows signs of much improvement. I need to pick up the pace a lot if I want to get my promotion in March! If I understand correctly, I just need 3 consecutive months of hitting 110% of production, and I will get it. Last biweek I was at 20%, mostly because I spent over a week working on things that should have already been done, which I got no credit for...This biweek will be much better, but maybe still not at 110%. It's kind of hard to hit production, since I am cleaning up leftovers from someone else. There is a reason these cases are left undone....
I bought a lift-top table on eBay. It was a pretty good deal. The table has a hinged top that moves up and over, providing a nice surface to eat off of while watching tv. It looks pretty decent, though I underestimated just how big it is. Since my couches are enormous too, it fits, and it looks decent too. Unfortunately, I broke off one of the wheels while I was moving it in, but I should be able to get a new set of casters online and put them on without much expense/hassle.
Went out with a girl and now she pretty much won't talk to me. It's frustrating. Not the first time, probably won't be the last. Another valentine's day alone :)
Jackie mailed me Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (thank you!), so I have been playing that. I just finished the Hercules Cup and am going back to find any dalmatians I might have missed. It's interesting enough, although I personally feel the designers should have spent less time designing cutscenes and more time working on gameplay.
