Don't Worry: They're all DEAD!
I was extremely tired at the library, which later improved - into an endless deep yawning compulsion. Yay! Yawns! Finally! Ughh. Got virtually nothing done. Was going to go home before the sun disappeared, so I could enjoy the warmth a bit. But, storm clouds gathered quickly, and now I had to get home before the darkening/rain.
But, before I did, I went to get a drink at the only library water-fountain. Saw something strange out front. So I went to look. It was a large, yellow and black striped Allosaurus sort of dinosaur, slowly walking backwards. It might have been one of the smaller but similar types, which featured in one of the Jurassic Park movies, running around like birds. But, this thing was moving very slowly, its heavy, human-type feet taking tiny baby steps, backwards, up a ramp, towards the open truck van - large enough for such a monster.
I started laughing, when I saw this. Because, it was a NASA-like operation. But it was over 100 humid degrees outside, real-feel, in glaring, clear sunlight. And someone was stuck in that suit, very carefully walking backwards into a truck he or she clearly could not see. What an obedient monster! But, that person COULD have gotten out of that suit first, yes? Why the need for all this? Its not a real dinosaur - its a suit. And the person inside it could die of heat exhaustion!
I just laughed at the weirdness of it. It looked totally funny. Yet the tall man next to me just stiffened up like an ironing board, almost in fear. And his kid asked what they were doing outside. "I guess they're just loading up the dinosaur to go home." But it was funny. A good example of how people here really don't have much of a sense of humour. Or of music. Or of lettuce.
So, now there are severe thunderstorms and tornadoes going on all around me. I am home again. No food tonight. Had a cheese toasty w/lettuce last eve and now I'm as big as a dinosaur. Goodnight.
