Trying to fall asleep?

Here's what I do, and I play a doctor on TV...

First, decompress from the day
Get those cytokines down, (eat a handful of walnuts)
Have a little BS, or other antacid.
Treat any medical, including, (e.g., lipidated G.O. nanostructures)
Turn your brain into porridge, using GABA, Valarian and/or Theanine
Take magnesium, fish oil and possibly half a Benadryl
And, try a little oil or fat, esp. beef fat. This can really help.
Now, get that melatonin goin' on!

Mind still stuck, thinking or worrying? Then resolve that you have definite goals for tomorrow, to look forward to. And/or, resolve that you've done all you could for today. Recall your day's accomplishments. One day at a time. You are good enough. Strong enough. And god will smite your enemies. And also those nasty aphids.

Imagine yourself in a more relaxing time and place in your past.

*Important: No caffeine after noon. No screen time before sleep. Turn off distractions. If you try a cup of wine, remember, it may feel like it works, but the alcohol and sugar will work against getting a really deep sleep. Keep water handy.

And now you are off to the races! Remember: Sleeping is a competitive sport. So, be sure you bring your hockey puck to bed. And don't forget to put the children out with the cat.

health - sleep, health - sleep /insomn/ lack of sleep
