https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_O_p_fmCqpZ1inIsYNMXk9bsuLPf-h8_ I guess, "
Magical Mystery Tour," is not an album, but an EP. Originally. Some tracks in this mix contain video - like the amazing, Blue Jay Way. This album is nicely followed pu by the 16.:40 min Medley from the actual last, McCartney-driven Beatles album, "Abbey Road." This medley was tied together from bits and pieces invented during the White Album, mainly. (Some are direct from those recordings, some may be rerecorded - not 100% sure. Maybe all are direct).
But
this medley has always stuck to my heart like cholesterol as being pure musical genius.
That whole album is, btw. And, here's,
"A Day In The Life...". And, here is a
Beatles Documentary.
"Magical Mystery Tour," began as the soundtrack for a
1967 BBC film of the same name.
YOU CAN WATCH THAT MOVIE HERE - or
here!
A year later, the Beatles produced an animated film, entitled, "
Yellow Submarine." I think this was when a lot of people started hating the Beatles. Because, you live in 1968, see this movie, and go, "WTF?!"
YOU CAN WATCH THAT MOVIE HERE - or
here!
AND HERE IS THE SOUNDTRACK ALBUM.
I love, "Northern Song," because it is so off-the-wall, and dissonant. I get the same feeling about, "Only Sleeping," and, "And Your Bird Can Sing," or whatever it's called. Both songs are also close to my heart, personally. You should be able to find both those songs here
ON THIS ALBUM!
I thought I'd do a Beatles post, for those other people enjoying a rainy day!
