Seinfeld: Save the wailing laughter!

Wow.  One of my fav Seinfeld episodes is where George goes out and extracts one of Kramer's gold-balls from the air-hole of a whale, proving that he is, indeed, a marine biologist.

When I saw the resolution of that episode, I thought to myself, "My god!  That is some genius writing!"

No, it wasn't genius writing, per se.  It was actually FUN writing!

Did you know that writers, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, had already written the bits about Kramer golfing into the ocean, and much of the parts of the marine-biologist / whale stuff - but they did not initially connect the two?!  They only connected the two at the last minute, in a writing / laughing fit.  So, the final scene - the whale story - was almost impromptu in its freshness.  I think that's pretty amazing!

writing - how to write / blog, animals - whales, tv - 'seinfeld', funny - and see humour/ my funny
