They should go, "Bake a cake!"

A half-silly thought occurred to me recently.  Maybe the whole politically correct, trolling, "fact-checking," ostracising, cancelling, "follow the science," remove-all-opposition movement - which has been rising menacingly for decades - is based on a simple misunderstanding of the phrase, "critical thinking."  This phrase has been wielded as a weapon whenever convenient to the shape-shifting cause.  "Oh!  You don't know what you are talking about!  You are not using your critical thinking!"  (They say this because it applies to them, not you, in virtually all cases).

Maybe their mistake is that they think "critical thinking" just means to criticise people relentlessly.  So the more they do that - rationally or not - then the more acute and logical and intelligent they are.  So, to completely ban someone is the highest form of science.  Right?  At least this is the feeling I get from their attitude.  Woke means waking up to some self-imposed nightmare, thrashing your arms about, and injuring as many people as you can and, in this way, reality is created.  Made better.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I gaslight the world - my critical lies create reality!"

Morrissey on Cancel Culture from a recent interview with the terrific @Angel_Devil982: “As if being offended means you’re intelligent… It means you’re an idiot.” 🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/lcEKYwDJsW
