I don't know if I ever mentioned it, but a few weeks ago, I butt-dialed 911. Thankfully, no police showed up. A few minutes ago, I was trying to figure out the code to reach my landline voicemail, and I dialled 911. I apologised in shock. Why does this keep happening? Hopefully, no police will show up. On the 4th of July, I must have called the local police non-emergency number 10 times, because of the fools rampaging through the property with their firecrackers and their hair.
If police do show up, in a few minutes, this might be good, since my dog is presently dry-heaving after eating. That can be a sign of bloat. I am still giving him ompromazol and phyzym - whatever that one is - in his food. Yesterday, after days of caution, I gave him a not-tiny meal. He woke me up at about 2:am and so that's when I "got up" today. He would not let me go back to sleep, with his quiet whining and his thudding about on the floor. So, I was not able to mow today, due to the set-back. Absolutely must do tomorrow. working on it.
When I remember what else I was intending to say, I will get back to you. I am currently finishing a costly Walmart order. There has been a giant dump truck parked on this side of the street. Maybe someone around here drives trucks. I'm tired.
Later that day: I forgot this topic: Inflation hits home, the dog, specifically. I have had to keep him of kibbles. I've been feeding him more fish, including sardines. Now, it is difficult to get sardines, (in water). I imagine lots of people know what I know: sardines are a good thing to stock up on since, during a nuclear war, you will be a seal and swim away. Also low on shelves: canned mackerel. Much fish doesn't seem to be making it this far inland any more. So, I have to keep reordering catfish, which never shows up, as I've said. And the price keeps going up.
Since I can no longer feed my dog many bones or fat, I've had to switch from full chicken thighs to deboned/deskinned chicken thighs. But these are getting too expensive! So, my dog is in trouble, down the road. If fish, meat and poultry keep going up in price, and disappearing, I don't think I'd be able to catch all the insects he would need to make up for the lost protein. I also hear that canned meat shelves are bare, as well. What's a carnivore to do?
