I love the year, 1963. So interesting. Almost as interesting as 1969. But, here is a 1963 tragedy which occurred not long before the JFK assassination. It must have added to the sudden emotional depression of the nation, somewhat, at the time. Songs like, "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry," "I've Got To Dance To Keep From Crying," "Today's Teardrops," "I'm Down To My Last Heartbreak," "Talk Back Trembling Lips," "Baby Don't You Weep," "Living A Lie," "In My Room," and, "Somewhere," haunted the pop charts at the end of the year, while, "Dominique," shot to Number One, as a lucky kind of wake tribute to JFK's Catholicism.
