I thought the failure import/crosspost functions at dreamwidth might only be a password issue, but it's more than that. Hre is a fun little post I made there, which didn't corsspost here..
I close my eyes and I slip away. Away hey hey hey heeeeeeeeyy!!!!
Hi, Dreamwidth, and LJ by virtue of the fact!
I am here because I am importing my LJ again. During war time, people get wrong ideas. So, it's good to keep two copies of a journal, and speak duplicitously. You see? I suggest all of you copy and paste all opf my entries everywhere ad infinitum, which also might help a little.
Actually, I was thinking about printing out my LJ/dw, and handing out copies to select people. The reason is this: I probably won't be able to make books out of it during my lifetime, as I keep spending all my time thinking and writing more stuff, and being sick. The people who have copies of it can get it to press in various creative ways. To whom will I be giving copies of this journal? Some of them are LJ friends. Maybe you are one of them! ("Please no! Don't let it be meee!")
I was quite ill this morning/afternoon. I eventually got a few things done. Dog had a nice we run outside. A few hours ago, I turned off all the news and views, and switched on Oldies music. I lay on the couch and commenced to emulate. Started off rough, but voice got better faster than ever. When it got to, "More Than A Feeling," I aced it - all the notes loud and clear. I did, however, have to reverse my wind to hit the highest note, but that will hopefully get ironed out with practice, over time. But, it's a personal accomplishment to be proud of. And to be shot at for.
It helps, when coming out of illness, to sing a little, and then hopefully a lot. Once I get my harmonicas oiled and set, I'll pick them up again, and rip through these streets like a madman, Windy. But, I assure you, my healthy phases are few and far between, so you can still visit sometime, still. You just be looking at, basically, a large ill-defined pillow on the couch, passing for me.
After, "Everyone Join The Peace Train," a new Various Artists album showed up - "The Greatest Acoustic Album Of All Time," - oh, no, it's, "Batman Forever" soundtrack! - and they are playing, "Kiss From A Rose." Let the war rage on. I through my cares to the wind. Yet am pulled inexorably to labour by the thirst of my dog. Must water him now or he won't grow... Oh...
PS - My glasses broke. And, also, I'll post more here, DW, I promise!
