"I don't want to die north of Fargo!"

The early day was bad with illness, but I managed to do a long walk to the stores around 4:pm. Was rushed. Caught the scheduled bus back home, around 5:45.

I watched a movie and now my head hurts, after GF Redbridge. I have to tell you. Wine is starting to taste repulsively sweet these days. It's disgusting.

I told you about the movie, " ( Read more... )

I've been meaning to watch Tusk and the rest of Smith's True North trilogy. I mean, I'm a Kevin Smith fan , a horror comedy fan and I'm from Manitoba so I don't know how I haven't seen it yet.

I didn't know there was a trilogy - and I wonder why. I can see people being a Kevin Smith fan, but I didn't like him when I saw an interview. He seemed to be Seth MacFarlane but with more fat and droning on and on, lol. I think that this movie was a reflexion of his life: arrogant blogger gets cut down, and grows to become fat walrus. Seriously. Its a simple outtake...

I was definitely thinking of you and my other Canadians, and wondering if you have ever seen this. It is worth seeing. I also like horror comedy, but comedy more. Have you ever seen Eraserhead? That is total horror but because it is right on the edge of comedy - absurd. I think it was revolutionary.

hey - remember - I have an LJ friend who is newly in Thunder bay. If you ever managed to be around there and visit her, that would be wonderful. You are different people but you both like me so that is something right?

Eraserhead was a big movie for me in highschool. I was trying to find my old yearbook photo from my freshman year because I was wearing an Eraserhead t-shirt lol ( ... )

That is so wild! I just watched Eraserhead last night, after not seeing it for years. I think I only saw it 1x before, but it was also a big event in my life. While I was watching it last night, I wondered if you had ever seen it! I'd call it absurdist horror instead of funny-horror, but there is one or two funny bits in it. I think it was hugely influential and yet you never hear about it.

The actor looks like Morrissey in The Smiths...

I liked Silent Bob cuz he didn't talk.

OK - I might get back to this later. I have to keep getting this xmas stuff together. I am including the Eraserhead DVD in a box to a friend. Goodbye, Eraserhead.
