This supports hypothesis of coming rapid warming due to sudden massive methane releases; and also is best explanation for strange giant holes/ explosions in Russian permafrost - see http://earthfiles.com - also strong hypothesis to explain earth changes - flashes/ booms/ (sinkholes - but not necessarilly involving full releases of methane into the surface)...
