Report: 28% of US West Coast Children Hit With Thyroid Problems

Apr 03, 2013 11:44

"Children born in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington between one week and 16 weeks after the meltdown began are 28 percent more likely to suffer from congenital hypothyroidism (CH) than were kids born in those states during the same period one year earlier."

"No, see, it couldn't be possible that those airline workers were suffering from fukushima radiation poisoning, because it must be some OTHER unknown problem. And therefore you are wearing a uncritical tinfoil hat." (That was their criticism, wasn't it? Conspiracy theorist. Eventually, they accept what I said, forget what THEY said, and continue to blame straw-men and victims for the NEXT thing they fear to understand). In Alaska, radiation prior to the airline workers' problem was indeed preceded by discrete radiation (and pollution) leaks from East Asia. And, indeed, norther latitudes, under diminishing ozone layer again), are vulnerable to an impact on health from cosmic rays - especially at high altitudes. But these MULTIFACTORAL effects, in concert, all the more suggest that it would be the those workers who first showed signs of fukushima radiation poisoning, in a sudden statistical increase. Lower altitude wildlife, under similar environmental stresses, would also be affected. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT ONLY ONE THING, OTHER THAN FUKUSHIMA, CAUSED THE ILLNESSES. It means there was, and continues to be, a CUMULATIVE, MULTIFACTORAL effect, augmented rapidly by Fukushima. And this is what they call, "not thinking critically). Do the research. Look beyond the cover-ups and misinformation. Go to the beach and see the dead dolphins and tuna and kelp, and the hot junk washing up on the shores. Enquire how many people suddenly had some inexplicable nosebleed, tiredness, headache, etc. Find out precisely what those isotopes were, if you can - their levels, and where they were released over the USA, etc. Don't wait for the official proclamations. THINK ON YOUR OWN. Don't worry about what other people think. Is your life and health less important than what people think? Is the planet's future less important? After centuries of what people think, look at the shit we're in.

I may be adding more links relating to pollution in Asia to this post later).

health - thyroid, all * denial, fukushima disaster, all * nuclear, multi-factoral! / multifactoral!, nuclear/ radiation, psychology - denial
