The only problem is that, unless you are Sherlock Holmes, what is obvious usually turns out to be rather useless as an indicator of what is really going on. So what happens if next summer turns out to to be cool, still, and delightful? Like a school of fish, will we all turn on our tails and swim the other way?

you are correct!

I suppose it takes a lot of abusive battering back and forth before most people intermittently-learn or paradoxically-learn the best assessment of what is true. Fortunately, science tends to be more precise in many cases, and many people do consider scientific findings, at least in theory - maybe not so much viscerally.

Whatever, right or wrong, a vast amount of info is not weighed in.

And - hopefully we won't move backwards to the days when Aztec kings convinced the people that they could make the sun rise by offering up human sacrifices each dawn.

Or maybe Austerity is kinda like that, ha ha...
