Back and in action.
Just returned via train from the top of the mitten today. Vacation was...eventful...good and bad. Ro ended up with some sort of infection that looks like strep but is actually viral. Before he got sick we did manage to get in some canoeing, swimming, and light-housing. I am not terribly fond of spiders, however, and we did run into many of those...outside as well as inside the cabin his parents rented. They are use to the place and like it a lot, I feel it was o.k. There were a few other problems that were kinda a turn-off to the place and in a lot of ways I am more use to sleeping in a tent and think I would have been better off that way.
In any case, I can not say that I am exactly rested, but it was a change in pace, which is always welcome. It was cooler weather AND I got to play cards for most of the week, which made me happy.
